Can a Naturally Occurring Mineral Change the Future of Mental Health?

Welcome to a trusted source for clear, evidence-based information on nutritional Lithium and its role in brain health, mental well-being, and inflammation regulation. This site is dedicated not only to educating visitors about nutritional and low-dose Lithium, but also to actively seeking funding for groundbreaking research at the Karolinska Institute (KI). We invite you to join us in supporting the Lithium-Inflammation Psychiatry (LIP) Study, a pioneering initiative at KI—home of the Nobel Assembly, Sweden’s leading medical university, and a global authority in neuroscience. The LIP Study will be the first comprehensive investigation into how low-dose nutritional Lithium influences key biomarkers linked to optimal brain function, inflammation, and resilience. Your contribution can directly advance this vital research and help unlock new approaches to mental health and inflammation-related disorders.

Expected Impact and Funding Appeal

We are honored to be part of the larger scientific team at Sweden’s Karolinksa Institute where the paradigm shifting Lithium-Inflammation-Psych (LIP) Study will occur pending funding in 2026. The public health impact of this research cannot be overstated. Personality disorders like BPD impose enormous costs on society – a recent study found that direct healthcare and productivity losses for BPD patients averaged $40,000 per patient, over 16 times higher than for matched individuals without BPD pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov. Much of this cost stems from chronic disability, repeated hospitalizations or crisis visits, and extensive medication use (often with side effects requiring additional care).
